Fitness Monitors (3 positions)

Petersen Family Wellness Center. Three on-call positions available. Variable schedule Sunday through Saturday. Provides supervision, guidance, and assistance to Wellness Center participants; ensures the general appearance of the facility and equipment are clean and in good working order, and performs documentation and record keeping as required. Cleans all equipment on an “as needed” basis and keeps the general appearance of the Wellness Center clean and neat. Knowledge and use of exercise equipment preferred. PFWC will provide on-the-job training.

Entry Desk Clerk

Petersen Family Wellness Center. On-call position. Variable schedule Sunday through Saturday. Provides supervision, guidance, and assistance in entering the Wellness Center. Assists with membership enrollment, POS, and customer service to Wellness Center participants; ensures the general appearance of the facility, entry desk and vending areas are clean and in good working order, and performs documentation and record keeping as required. Knowledge and use of exercise equipment preferred. PFWC will provide on-the-job training.

Nursing Supervisor

On-call position. Works 12-hour shifts 7:00 am to 7:00 pm on Friday or Saturday. Manages nursing activities in the delivery of quality, cost-effective patient care. Directs, coordinates, and participates in the delivery of patient care. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, staff performance appraisals, staff and scheduling, quality improvement, achievement of departmental goals, and membership on Nurse Management Council. At least two years of clinical experience in Emergency Department as well as the Medical/Surgical area preferred. Must be a graduate from an approved Professional Nursing program. Must have current Iowa Registered Nurse license. Certification in Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support required.

RN Case Manager

Utilization Review Department. On-call position. Works as needed; 6:00 am to 3:30 pm OR 7:00 am to 4:30 pm OR 7:30 am to 5:00 pm. Is responsible for coordinating each patient’s hospitalization from preadmission through discharge by assessing the medical appropriateness, quality, and cost-effectiveness in accordance with established criteria and policies. This review activity is performed in collaboration with patients, family, providers, and other professionals and my be conducted prospectively, concurrently, or retrospectively. Provides case management interventions by assessing, monitoring, evaluating options and services to provide an appropriate, individualized plan for each patient across the continuum of care. Registered Nurse with hospital experience preferred with at least two years of clinical experience; previous case management, insurance notification and Milliman Care guidelines preferred. Computer knowledge required. Must have current Iowa license. Must be a graduate from an approved Professional Nursing program.

RN Case Manager

Utilization Review Department. Full-time position (36 hours per week). Works Monday through Friday; four nine-hour shifts. Hours are 6:00 am to 3:30 pm OR 7:00 am to 4:30 pm OR 7:30 am to 5:00 pm. Is responsible for coordinating each patient’s hospitalization from preadmission through discharge by assessing the medical appropriateness, quality, and cost-effectiveness in accordance with established criteria and policies. This review activity is performed in collaboration with patients, family, providers, and other professionals and may be conducted prospectively, concurrently, or retrospectively. Registered Nurse

Medical/Surgical Department. Full-time day shift (36 hours per week). Works 12-hour shifts 7:00 am to 7:00 pm. Utilizes the nursing process to provide and direct quality patient care in various settings: Med/Surg, Swing Bed, OB, SCU, ER, Outpatient, and Perioperative. Directs and provides patient/family teaching. Provides leadership when working with health team members in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting. Must be a graduate from an approved Professional Nursing program. Must be a Registered Nurse currently licensed in the State of Iowa. Certification in Basic Life Support is required within 3 months of date of hire. Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification is required within 12 months of date of hire.

Registered Nurse

Medical/Surgical Department. PRN position. 12 hours per month minimum. Utilizes the nursing process to provide and direct quality patient care in various settings: Med/Surg, Swing Bed, OB, SCU, ER, Outpatient, and Perioperative. Directs and provides patient/family teaching. Provides leadership when working with health team members in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting. Must be a graduate from an approved Professional Nursing program. Must be a Registered Nurse currently licensed in the State of Iowa. Certification in Basic Life Support is required within 3 months od date of hire. Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification is required within 12 months of date of hire.

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Medical/Surgical Department. Part-time position (works 24 hours per week – 12-hour shifts). Weekend/holiday rotation required. Assists the professional nursing staff in providing quality patient care. Is responsible for performing a variety of patient care activities including, but not limited to, ADLs, assessments, documentation, etc, and related health care functions under the direct supervision of an RN or LPN. Reports to the Medical/Surgical Nurse Manager. Completion of an approved 75-hour Nursing Assistant course and /or successful completion of Nursing Assistant certification written and skills tests or completion of one year of an approved practical nurse program or professional nurse program required.

LPN or RN

Outpatient Specialty Clinics. Part-time position (20 hours per week). Works various hours Monday through Friday. Utilizes the nursing process to provide and direct quality patient care in the Outpatient Specialty Clinic setting. Directs and provides patient/family teaching. Provides leadership when working with health team members in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting. Documents nursing assessments and intervention, etc. LPN – must be a graduate of an accredited LPN school of nursing LPN program and possess a current Iowa LPN license. RN – Must be a graduate from an approved Professional Nursing program. Must have current Iowa Registered Nurse license. Certification in Basic Life Support is required within 3 months of date of hire. Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification is required within 12 months of date of hire.
