Environmental Services Department. Full-time (40 hours per week). Works five days per week 11:00 am to 7:30 pm. Successful completion of the work on a regular basis would result in a clean, safe, and attractive environment which is conducive to the recovery of ill patients and contributes positively to staff morale and the public relations of the hospital. Assumes responsibility for picking up lab work, linens, and miscellaneous items from the satellite clinics in Avoca, Earling, Elk Horn, and Shelby. Will also deliver supplies to the clinics and my be required to sort and/or transport laundry. Assumes responsibility for overall cleaning of patient rooms, work areas, and public areas according to standards of the hospital. Must have valid driver’s license. Must know how to care for equipment, how to measure cleaning solutions, and be alert to hazards. Completion of high school or equivalent preferred.
Dietary Department. Part-time position (32 hours per week). Works four 8-hour shifts with times ranging between 6:00am and 7:00pm. Works every third weekend 9:30am to 7:00pm; rotates holidays. Performs a variety of food service tasks to ensure deliverance of meals/food for patients, cafeteria, and special meetings throughout the health system. One year food service experience is desirable, but not required. Must have a general knowledge of cooking and using kitchen machines and equipment. High school diploma or equivalent required.
Senior Life Solutions. Myrtue Medical Center is partnering with Senior Life Solutions to offer a new intensive outpatient group therapy service for seniors. $10,000 SIGN-ON BONUS. Full-time position (36-40 hours). Works Monday through Friday. Flexible work schedule after 90 days to allow therapist to work from home 1-2 days per week on non-group days. Provides therapeutic services for patients utilizing group, individual, and family therapy sessions to older adults in an intensive outpatient environment. Works with a small, interdisciplinary team with a focus on quality patient care and provision of services ordered by a physician. Documents all completed services in compliance with provided standards and regulations and is thorough with detail and organization. Two to three years of clinical experience with older persons, extensive group work, hospital or nursing home experience preferred. Master’s degree in social work from an accredited graduate school of social work or Master’s degree in other counseling related field required. Must have a license in Social Work or Counseling as recognized by the State of Iowa. May include LCSW, LPC, LMFT, etc. Must meet any applicable state certification standards.
