Revenue Cycle Department. Full-time (exempt position). Works Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Is responsible for and plans, organizes, coordinates, and directs the activities and personnel in the management of all departments in the revenue cycle. Has supervisory and budgetary responsibilities and ensures regulatory compliance in all Revenue Cycle departments. Implements and streamlines customer friendly revenue cycle processes by coordinating the work with other departments of the hospital to achieve a complete and accurate medical record as well as financial records. Provides a framework for enabling maximum human development while channeling human energies to the accomplishment of quality health care. At least five years experience in a health care Revenue Cycle environment required. Previous supervisory experience required. Basic computer skills, knowledge of CPT, CHPCS, and ICD-9/ICD-10 procedures and diagnostic coding required. Experience in data extraction and report building. Knowledge of federal and state laws and requirements relating to health care management. Must be an effective communicator (oral and written) at all levels of organization; additionally strong persuasive skills. Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in accounting, business management, or related field required. Certificate of RHIT or RHIA preferred.
Medical/Surgical Department. Multiple positions. Schedule varies. Works 12 hours per month; 1 holiday per year. Assists the Professional Nursing staff in providing quality patient care. Is responsible for performing a variety of patient care activities including, but not limited to: ADLs, assessments, documentation, etc, and related health care functions under the direct supervision of an RN or LPN. Reports to the Medical/Surgical Nurse Manger. No experience required. Completion of approved 75-hour Nursing Assistant course and/or successful completion of Nursing Assistant certification written and skills tests or completion of one year of an approved practical nurse program or professional nurse program.
Diagnostic Imaging Department. Full-time position (40 hours per week). Works 7:00 am to 5:30 pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. Assumes responsibility for completing ordered imaging exams for outpatients, patients in the Emergency Room, and Medical/Surgical unit. Must be professional, reliable, and able to work independently. Must be able to manage multiple tasks at one time. Excellent customer service and communication skills required. CT experience preferred but not required. Must be a graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program. Must be ARRT registered and have a current Iowa Permit to Practice.
Home Health Department. Full-time position (40 hours per week). Works Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm; occasionally visits on weekends/holidays. Under general supervision, the Home Care Aide provides a broad range of client related care services, social, environmental, and personal care, in a home setting, to enhance the capacity of household members to attain or maintain independence and to maintain a healthful, safe environment. Excellent customer service skills required. Valid Iowa driver’s license and proof of automobile liability insurance required. Completion of approved Home Care Aide training or 75-hour Nursing Assistant course and/or successful completion of Nursing Assistant certification written and skills tests. BLS required.
