Environmental Services Staff

Environmental Services Department. Four full-time positions (40 hours per week) and one on-call position. Full-time positions work Monday through Friday 5:30 am to 2:00 pm OR 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm. Rotates weekends/holidays. On-call position with additional hours available in the summer (up to 24 hours). Week days works 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm; weekends works 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Assumes responsibility for overall cleaning of patient rooms, work areas, and public areas according to standards of the hospital. May be required to sort and/or transport laundry. Successful completion of the work on a regular basis would result in a clean, safe, and attractive environment which is conducive to the recovery of ill patients and contributes positively to staff morale and the public relations of the hospital. Training and experience not required. Hospital will do on-the-job training. Must know how to use common house cleaning devices to keep areas clean. Must know how to care for equipment, how to measure cleaning solutions, and be alert to hazards. Completion of high school or equivalent preferred.

ER Tech

Emergency Department. Two positions: one part-time position (16-20 hours per week). Works every third weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) from 11:00 am to 11:00 pm OR 11:00 pm to 7:00 am. One on-call position; schedule varies; hours are 11:00 am to 11:00 pm OR 11:00 pm to 7:00 am. Assists the professional nursing staff and ED medical practitioners in providing care to patients in the Emergency Department. Is responsible for performing clerical and receptionist duties and maintaining the physical environment for the area. Performs EKGs. Functions under the direct supervision of an RN. Reports to the ED Nurse Manager. Assists with direct patient care including taking vitals, recording data, relaying pertinent information, and assisting with patient care. Completion of approved 75-hour Nursing Assistant course and/or successful completion of Nursing Assistant certification written and skills tests or completion of one year of an approved practical nurse program or professional nurse program required.
