Patient Access Department. Part-time position (24 hours per week). Works various shifts and days Sunday through Saturday. Maintains and updates computer scheduling files. Must be congenial and polite at all times in person and over the phone. Must be familiar with policies regarding scheduling of ancillary tests and appointments, maintaining current patient information and records, and maintaining strict confidentiality. Must be familiar with admitting, discharging, insurance forms, confidentiality of patient information, and dealing with the general public. General office experience preferred, but not required. High school diploma or equivalent required.
Petersen Family Wellness Center/Lewis Family Aquatic Complex. Full-time position (40 hours per week). Works Monday through Friday 6:00 am to 2:00 pm. Responsible for the health, safety, and welfare of those using the Petersen Family Wellness Center aquatic complex. Prevents and responds to emergencies. Enforces rules and regulations of the Aquatic Complex. Knowledge and use of exercise equipment preferred. Current Lifeguard certification required.
Emergency Department. PRN position. Works various days Monday through Thursday 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm; Friday, Saturday, Sunday 7:00 pm to 7:00 am or 7:00 am to 7:00 pm. Utilizes the nursing process to provide and direct quality patient care. Directs and provides patient/family teaching. Provides leadership when working with health team members in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting. Previous ER or Med/Surg experience required. Must be a graduate from an approved Professional Nursing program. Must be a Registered Nurse currently licensed in the State of Iowa. BLS and ACLS required. TNCC preferred. PALS preferred. NRB preferred.
Petersen Family Wellness Center. Part-time position (28 hours per week). Works Monday and Friday 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm; Saturday and Sunday 11 am to 7:00 pm. Days may vary. Receives $1.50 per hour shift differential. Effectively assists in the development, revision, implementation, and communication of goals, policies, guidelines, and standards for the Fitness Center in accordance with Medical Center policies, objectives, and standards all under the direction of the Wellness Center Director. Ensures the general appearance of the facility and equipment are clean and in good working order. Successful completion of the work on a regular basis would result in a clean, safe, and attractive environment that is conducive to patient recovery and the satisfaction of guests at the Fitness Center. Must be 18 years of age or older. Training and experience not required. Knowledge of equipment beneficial. Supervision of staff is preferred. Must know how to care for equipment, how to measure cleaning solutions, and be alert to hazards. Use of common household cleaning devices preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required.
