Behavioral Health Department. Due to the growth of our Behavioral Health program, Myrtue Medical Center has a full-time opening for a Mental Health Associate. Full-time position (40 hours per week). Performs a variety of patient care and departmental activities directly related to the Community Support Services (CSS) programs which include but are not limited to: client assessments; facilitating behavioral health groups; direct service provider for various programs including but not limited to BHIS (Behavioral Health Intervention Services), IPR (Intensive Psychiatric Rehabilitation), and SCL (Supportive Community Living); provides on-call services in rotation with other Behavioral Health practitioners; documentation; data entry; case management; provides support to Behavioral Health Operations Coordinator, Behavioral Health Director, and practitioners. Previous Human Service(s) experience required. Utilizes and builds upon knowledge acquired through formal education; possesses technical skills and knowledge of screening/assessment mechanisms and data analysis/entry necessary to comply with program expectations. Bachelor’s degree in Human Services (psychology, sociology, counseling, social work, criminal justice, etc) with one year Human Services experience preferable.
Behavioral Health Department. Due to the growth of our Behavioral Health program, Myrtue Medical Center has a full-time opening for a Mental Health Counselor/Licensed Social Worker. Full-time position (40 hours per week). Works Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with possibility of working some later evening hours with half- or whole-day off. Serves as an active participant in the clinical programs of the department, including both direct treatment of outpatients, performance of evaluation activities, provides emergency services, and consultation and education. Experience of two years or equivalent or field experience in a similar setting during educational process. Must be eligible to be licensed in the State of Iowa to practice as a Licensed Mental Health Provider. Interns, new graduates, and candidates with Provisional license will be considered. A Master’s degree in a Human Services field such as Counseling, Social Work, or other mental health related field required.
