Respiratory Therapy Department. Schedule varies: 6:30 am – 3:00 pm OR 6:30 am – 4:30 pm various days Sunday through Saturday. On-call hours as needed. Performs all aspects of respiratory care procedures; prepares and issues equipment; performs basic pulmonary function testing; performs ECG tests and prepares and issues suction equipment. Performs stress tests and holter monitoring. Other traits desired: ability to work under pressure, excellent communicator, strong time management skills, positive attitude, ability to be flexible/adaptable, ability to work well with others while using excellent interpersonal skills. Two to three years prior experience in hospital setting as a Respiratory Therapist preferred, but not required. Must be a graduate of an accredited school program by the (CoARC) Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care. Current Iowa respiratory therapy licensure required.
Part-time position (24 hours per week). Days/hours vary. Flexible schedule. Serves as a liaison between the Hospital, Clinics, Information System team, Business Office, and EHR (electronic health record) provider to communicate user needs and facilitate system modifications to meet user needs. Works with the University of Iowa analyst assigned to Myrtue. Coordinates and leads technical planning and delivery of clinical and business system upgrades, deployment of new technology and system upgrades. Functions in a team role, in collaboration with the multidisciplinary direct patient care teams, Business Office, and clinical systems super users. Develops and implements training pertaining to the staff use of clinical and business systems. Participates as an active and integral member of the informatics team and maintains the established standards of care through clinical systems improvement activities and staff education. Will examine current processes and protocols and compare to best practice standards, identify areas that require improvement and recommend priorities based on HIPAA and governmental guidelines and quantify, plan and implement process improvement projects. Two to three years of professional systems analyst experience strongly desired. Minimum of two years of experience with a healthcare application in IT, clinical, revenue cycle or business office setting is preferred. Epic certification preferred. Strong problem and issue resolution experience. Experience with data analysis, data management associated with systems evaluation, research and analysis tools required. Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills necessary to work with all levels of management, administrative, hospital and vendor staff. Initiative to carry out the work tasks assigned without constant direction. Ability to set priorities, organize and coordinate work efficiently, and establish good personal relations with other works and the public is essential. College degree in information science, data analytics or equivalent work experience.
Three positions available: 1) One full-time position (36 hours per week) (15% night shift differential for full-time position); works 12-hour night shifts 7:00 pm to 7:00 am; 2) two part-time positions (24 hours per week); works 12-hour night shifts 7:00 pm to 7:00 am. All positions include weekend rotation. Assists the professional nursing staff in providing quality patient care. Is responsible for performing a variety of patient care activities including, but not limited to ADLs, assessments, documentation, etc and related health care functions under the direct supervision of an RN or LPN. Reports to the Medical/Surgical Nurse Manager. No experience required. Completion of an approved 75-hour Nursing Assistant course and/or successful completion of Nursing Assistant Certification written and skills test or completion of one year of an approved practical nurse program or professional nurse program required.
