Laboratory Department

Full-time position (36 hours per week). Works four 9-hour shifts, various days/hours Sunday through Saturday 6:00 am to 8:00 pm.

Performs various waived or moderate complexity testing in hematology, coagulation, chemistry, microbiology, blood banking, immunology, and urinalysis. Receives or obtains specimens for laboratory analysis and prepares specimens for reference laboratory. Responsible for specimen processing, test performance, and reporting of results. Assists in the clerical duties of the lab and assists the medical technologists. Follows Universal Precautions and Infection Control policies. No experience necessary. Completion of high school or equivalent preferred and documentation of training appropriate for the testing performed prior to analyzing patient specimens. Basic computer knowledge preferred.

Marketing Specialist

Marketing Department

Part-time position (24 hours per week). Flexible schedule. Provides support to the Marketing Director in promoting the brand of the Medical Center. Establishes and maintains a consistent corporate image throughout all promotional materials. Responsible for managing the Medical Center’s social media presence and website content. Undertakes a range of internal and external communications using a variety of marketing channels and assigned projects; including but not limited to, marketing team support, design and layout, etc. Helps with the organization of various social events sponsored by the Hospital.

Marketing/communication work experience in a healthcare setting preferred. InDesign, Photoshop, Publisher experience preferred. Knowledge of media relations, including standard practice in the dissemination of information and coordination of story development. Excellent written and communication skills required. Time management and problem solving skills and demonstrated ability to apply these in various situations.

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communication, journalism or equivalent preferred.

Food Service Worker

Dietary Department. On-call Position. 2-3 shifts each week; 4:30 pm – 7:30 pm. Occasional 8 hour shifts Saturday and Sunday; Rotating holidays as needed

Performs a variety of food service tasks to ensure deliverance of meals/food for patients, cafeteria, and special meetings throughout the health system. He/she adheres to the mission of Myrtue Medical Center in all aspects of job performance.

One year of food service experience is desirable, but not required. General knowledge of using kitchen machines and equipment is preferred.

Completion of high school or equivalent preferred. Will accept current high school students.
